Why is the National Youth Commission issuing a Youth Travel Card? |
The significance of the Youth Travel Card that the National Youth Commission (NYC) is issuing is not just that of an alternative youth travel card. Rather, the NYC hopes, with the recognition of the card, to promote a new meaning for travel and a new value for study: youth travel and in-depth study. At the same time, the Youth Travel Card also represents the hard-won achievements of the integration of government and private sector resources to provide over 200 tourism concessions, including admission tickets for scenic spots, transportation, accommodation, well-known snacks, Chinese classes, and so on, to enable young people to use their limited financial resources to enjoy the greatest possible tourism challenges as they explore Taiwan.
